Talal Ibn Khatib is a Moroccan visual artist whose practice encompasses drawing, photography, and installation. He graduated from the National Institute of Fine Arts in Tétouan and also studied architecture at the National Polytechnic University of Lviv (Ukraine), a background that informs his sensitivity to both spatial and social structures.
Through his work, Talal explores the forms through which we can reflect on the world in order to foster a shared consciousness. His artistic approach is rooted in a deeply humanistic and socially engaged vision, grounded in everyday observations of the violations of human dignity.
Talal critiques the oppressive and dehumanizing structures of modern society, denouncing the social injustices they produce—particularly in relation to public education and political corruption. His artworks, often rich in ambiguous symbolism, convey both the harshness of these realities and a poignant reminder of our vulnerability and transience.
His work has been exhibited internationally, including in Dubai and at the 5th Marrakech Biennale, where he participated as a member of the Awiiily collective.

Talal Ibn Khatib est un artiste visuel marocain dont la pratique s’articule autour du dessin, de la photographie et de l’installation. Diplômé de l’Institut National des Beaux-Arts de Tétouan, il a également poursuivi des études d’architecture à l’Université Nationale Polytechnique de Lviv (Ukraine), ce qui nourrit sa sensibilité aux structures spatiales et sociales.
À travers ses œuvres, Talal interroge les formes par lesquelles nous pouvons méditer le monde et cultiver une conscience collective. Son travail se distingue par un engagement profondément humaniste, prenant appui sur les réalités sociales du quotidien. Ses pièces sont traversées par des thèmes tels que la déshumanisation, la violence institutionnelle, ou encore la fragilité de la condition humaine.
Critique à l’égard des structures oppressives et impersonnelles de la société moderne, Talal Ibn Khatib dénonce les injustices sociales, notamment celles liées au système éducatif et à la corruption politique. Ses œuvres, souvent symboliques et ambivalentes, expriment à la fois la brutalité de ces réalités et notre propre éphémérité.
Il a exposé ses créations dans plusieurs contextes internationaux, notamment à Dubaï et lors de la 5e Biennale de Marrakech, au sein du collectif Awiiily.
